Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Lance's family at LeAnn's house. It was so fun having everyone together! If only Quinn would sleep at other people's houses. One night she was up from 11-4. We still had a great time despite a little sleep deprivation. Quinn loved playing with her cousins and climbing Aunt LeAnn's stairs.

Winter Adventures & Easter

We got a hiking backpack for Quinn from Lance's parents and it has been great! It allowed us to explore beautiful Oregon as a family. It was also such a mild winter that we got out a lot! We hiked just about every weekend. We explored Tryon Creek State Park, Multnomah Falls, the Tulip Festival, and the Japanese Garden. We love living here!

We spent Easter with Lance's sister LeAnn. Easter fell on the weekend of General Conference this year so it was a very spiritually uplifting weekend as we reflected on the Savior and His resurrection. Lance, Ammon, Kent, Addy, and Julie all went skydiving! I had just found out I was pregnant and was unable to participate :-(.

Kent is the best :-)

There aren't a lot of Grandmas out there that can do this!

Kent was AWESOME!

Addy was so brave to try!

Super Lance!

Catch up time!

I can't believe it has been so long since my last blog post. This year has passed by quickly. What motivated me to update my blog was the realization that it serves as my journal. A place where I document the milestones and memories that we experience as a family.

We are preparing for the arrival of our little boy and the way I prepare is by reading birth stories to inspire me and give me the confidence I need for labor. While doing so I wanted to read about Quinn's birth story. How grateful I was that I had written it down in this blog. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to draw from the past experience to prepare me for this one. That is why it's important to keep a journal. To learn from past experiences and to inspire you for the road ahead.

For Christmas 2014, we went to my parents' new home in Viola, ID just outside of Moscow. I left early to help my parents move in and get the house ready for company. We finished cleaning and decorating just in time for Christmas Eve. It was close, but we did it! I absolutely love it out there. It is so peaceful and the view of the Palouse and Moscow Mountain are just breath taking. It even snowed for us on Christmas!

Halloween & a Birthday!

We celebrated Halloween with our Church this year. Quinn dressed up as a cute Zebra and Lance and I went as ourselves. Lame, I know. We even took her trunk-or-treating! Lance and I enjoyed her candy for her :-).

On Halloween we drove home to the good ol' Palouse to celebrate Quinn's 1st birthday with family. It is always fun to see family.

Day Trip

In September we took a day trip to Cannon Beach with our friends Brittany and Bryce Hanks. It was such a beautiful day! After walking around Cannon Beach we went to a beach further south that was a lot more private and beautiful in my opinion. We stayed after the sun set and had a fire on the beach and roasted marshmallows. Is it summer again yet?

Larsen Reunion

A week after the 4th we took a plane to Salt Lake City and then drove to Heber City to celebrate Lance's Grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary and 80th birthdays. We stayed in a beautiful cabin with a view of the mountains. I wish we could have stayed for the entire reunion but Lance had to return to work. It's always fun seeing family and spending time with cousins!

Hugs for Uncle Brett!

Playing some games!

Ammon got a pinata for Fenton and ReNae's birthday party!

Grandpa showed that pinata whose boss.

Cade taking a turn!

Cousin Rachel was a trooper and participated.

Look at the view!

The whole Larsen crew! So fun!

Boys Day Out

No girls allowed! Leo and Julie have two ATVs that they like to take up into the mountains to go 4-wheeling. Leo, Lance, Ammon, Cade, and Kent had a good time exploring the old logging roads and saw some beautiful scenery! Next time maybe the girls can go :-)

Ready for some fun!

These guys take 4-wheeling seriously!

Great picture!

Healthy lunch :-)

Trying to find their way home...

This looks a little dangerous, Lance.

Pretty field!

Cheese!

Tough guys

Don't mess with these two!

I love Kent's face!

The intimidation!
